System Inventory - Activity Log
System Inventory provides a detailed Activity Log to track user actions within the application. This log helps administrators and auditors monitor changes, especially those related to system creation and modification.
Activity Log Overview
Accessing the Activity Log
The Activity Log is located in the left-side menu of the System Inventory interface.
It is accessible to all users, regardless of role or permission level.
To access it:
Log in to Compliant Cloud and open the System Inventory application
Navigate to the left-hand menu.
Click on Activity Log to open the log interface.
Key Elements of the Activity Log
Entity ID: A unique identifier for the affected item (e.g., System ID).
Entity: The type of item or change (e.g., System).
User: The email address of the user who performed the action
Date & Time Stamp: The exact time the action occurred.
Action Type: Describes the nature of the action (e.g. Created System, Modified System).
Actions: A button labeled VIEW that opens detailed information about the entry.
Using the Activity Log
Browse Entries: Scroll through the log to locate relevant actions.
Apply Filters (if available): Narrow results by date, user, or action type.
View Details: Click the VIEW button next to an entry to see a full breakdown.
Viewing Entry Details
When you click VIEW, you’ll access a detailed summary of the selected log entry.
Exporting the Activity Log
To export the Activity Log, follow these steps:
Apply Filters First
The Export button is disabled by default. To enable it, you must first apply at least one filter such as filtering by date range, user, or other available criteria.
Enable Export
Once filters are applied, the Export button will become active and clickable.
Export Format
The export is available only in CSV format.
Download Time
Depending on the size of the filtered data, the download may take a few minutes to complete.
